3 Brewery Events You Don’t Want to Miss in Charlottesville

We can’t talk about Charlottesville’s local brew scene without talking about the Brew Ridge Trail, a self-guided tour of six breweries in Albemarle County and Charlottesville.

This Memorial Day Weekend, you will be able to enjoy Friday Cheers at the Blue Mountain Barrel House, Saturday S’Mores at Devils Backbone, Sunday brunch and music at Wolf, and Meatless Mondays at Blue Mountain, just to name a few.

2. IPA Jambeeree at Starr Hill Brewery

Date: Saturday, June 25th

Next month, venture to The Hangar Park at Starr Hill Brewery for a full day of IPA tastings, great food, and live music.

Sample your favorites from Virginia craft breweries such as Apocalypse, Devils Backbone, and Brothers; visit one of two stages for performances by Sons of Bill, Lord Nelson, Travis Elliott, and others; and eat to your heart’s content from local food trucks, including South Fork and Spicesea Gourmet.

3. The Virginia Whisky Experience Tours

Date: Starts Saturday, June 11th

Take a guided journey of the history and legacy of single malt whisky and enjoy a behind-the-scenes distillery tour with the Virginia Distillery Company. It all leads up to an anticipated tasting of the company’s Virginia Highland Malt Whisky. Tours start June 11th.
